Two customers commenced their business associated with deep-sea exploration. The start-up capital (around US$400,000) was used to purchase the major equipment. Still, they needed a significant amount of money to put the business on a serious track. And soon that opportunity has arrived: India’s government launched a $15 million tender offer for hydrocarbon exploration (to carry out offshore oil and gas exploration). But the most unexpected thing that happened was that they ran into a serious problem. To participate in the tender, the businessmen (as foreign bidders) were required a bank guarantee (bid bond) issued by the State Bank of India. For a fairly young company having recently started its operations and being a newcomer to the market, the requirement seemed nearly impracticable.

Thereafter, they encountered some difficulties in India. They experienced a timeframe breach due to unforeseen circumstances. The Indian partners became alerted. The company continued the work and were able to provide a quality finished project. The project has become a testimony to the company’s excellence - customers are showing their readiness to partner with the company!

Assistance in emergency situations

While driving in Poland, our customer encountered a serious car problem.  Having a trouble with the car at midnight is a very frustrating experience. What to do in such situation? Being a World Signia (issued by Baltic International Bank) card holder, the customer contacted a concierge service to find out where the nearest auto service shop is. The customer reasonably hoped that information provided by the in-car navigation system would be helpful to locate him.

It took less than a half an hour to get rid of the problem. The concierge staff recommended him to go to the closest gas station to just wait some minutes for a tow truck to transport the vehicle to the repairs shop.

Wish fulfilment

Our customer planned to celebrate his birthday on the Canary Islands. He wanted to arrange an unforgettable party, yet making his guests feel at home in a very warn atmosphere. Admittedly, the arrangements would have taken a lot of time! Besides, the lack of Spanish language knowledge potentially would spell problems. Two weeks before the party, the customer took advantage of a concierge service available to Baltic International Bank-issued card holders.

The customer picked a ranch house as the birthday celebration location.  The owner of the house was a horse breeder, and horse riding was set up as a special surprise for the guests. Irrespective of the fact that at the celebration day the ranch house was expected to be closed to visitors, the concierge service succeeded to agree on the issue.

The party was well thought out and not a singe detail was missed: the concierge service arranged a photographer to take pictures, seaside travel, and a fantastic dinner. The meals were brought in ready to serve. The cooks took care of every tiny detail, including tableware and a coffee-machine.

The guests greatly enjoyed the party which proved a very wonderful event, yet not pricey.
